Mike Batt has paid a six-figure sum to the estate administrators of John Cage, for plagiarism, for including a silent track on his album, credited to himself and John Cage. John Cage composed a piece called 4’33” in 1952, which was completely silent.
The BBC Symphony Orchestra has a wonderful performance of the 3-act 4’33’’ work on their web site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsa/n5ctrl/events04/entertainment/cage_4_minutes_silence16jan.ram
